OpenAI Student Collective

Campus Lead · LSE

Co-leading the student AI community at LSE.

Selected as one of 40 students in OpenAI’s inaugural UK Campus Leads cohort. I co-lead the community at LSE for students across disciplines building projects with ChatGPT and Codex.

• Planning four workshops and a showcase each semester, plus weekly Studio Hours. This describes the programme plan, not a count of events already delivered.

Foresight Fund

Equity research intern

Company research, AI economics and the tools used to prepare investment research.

During my internship, I researched China’s consumer and restaurant sector, independently authored a report on Yum China and built sector valuation models.

I also examined returns on AI capital expenditure through four reports on consumer AI monetisation, model capabilities and white-collar automation, historical technology transitions, and AI applications in mathematics.

• Designed and developed a multi-agent workflow linking company disclosures and document review to financial ledgers and Excel workpapers.
• Worked on financial-statement cleaning and valuation research.
• Organized evidence across AI capabilities, commercial adoption and economic outcomes.

Software architecture engineer

Engineering the agent systems behind teacher-facing tools.

I worked on rate limiting, authorization isolation, OCR pipelines and deterministic test fixtures in a shared production codebase.

I also researched education-AI products and translated the findings into workflow and product recommendations.

Open-source contributor

Submitted fixes and proposals for long-running agent behavior.

I contribute public pull requests addressing session-state isolation, message delivery, large tool-output compaction and context continuity. The proposals and their current status can be inspected on GitHub.

• Trace concrete runtime failures through an existing codebase.
• Explain the proposed behavior and tradeoffs for reviewers.

Step-In, Step-Up insight programme

An introduction to how the main divisions of an investment bank work together.

Through workshops and rotations, I explored investment banking, equity research, sales and trading, and risk management. The programme provided context for the different questions each division asks and the ways their work connects.

Investment research intern

An early grounding in private-market research and valuation.

I researched biopharma and heavy-industry sectors, developed familiarity with private-market investment workflows, and supported three industry research reports and valuation analyses.

Consumer-sector field research

Early research experience

Looking at businesses through their stores, supply chains and customers.

In summer 2023, I took part in research on major sports-retail chains in Wuhan, comparing business fundamentals, supply chains and resource allocation across regions.

In 2024, I conducted food-and-beverage field research in Changsha, covering tea beverages, alcoholic drinks and packaged snacks. I examined how consumer behaviour, brand positioning and location strategy relate to business performance.
